18.9.2007 Two victories abroad

Baggio (POL) was victorious this past Sunday in the Merano Premio Spegasso steeplechase; with Paddy Aspell aboard Baggio (POL) beat Gont in an exciting finish. Babie Lato (POL) won a week before in Vienna in the Listed hurdle race over 4 600 m.

3.9.2007 Three for one

Two of our three weekend victories came at the Chuchle Racetrack in Prague. Despite carrying the heaviest handicap, Pate (GER) handled his return to the track after health problems by winning the Parvest Fund Trophy, a Grade 2 flat race over 2 200 m, with Martin Srnec aboard. Jockey Martin Srnec added another victory aboard debutant Klaus (POL) in the Franklin Templeton Funds Trophy for two-year-olds without wins. Our final standard bearer, Tantor (POL), ran fourth in the Conseq Invest Funds Gersch Memorial. The successful weekend was capped as Paddy Aspell rode Kolorado (POL) to a “mandatory” win in the 33rd Velká Starohájská steeplechase in Bratislava.

27.8.2007 Savignon wins the St. Leger

Savignon (POL) redeemed an unsuccessful performance in the Czech Derby by winning the 62nd Tattersalls St. Leger in Prague, withstanding a charge by second-place Derby finisher and clear favourite Charley by a length. Jockey Tomáš Lukášek thus delivered another classic victory for our colours.

13.8.2007 Mares, foals and yearlings

After Registana (GER) and Sweet Answer (GB) two other mares are pregnant at Etzean - Arganta (GER) by Sholokhov (IRE) and Oxalana (GER) by Sabiango (GER). 20.7.2007 New additions

On Tuesday 11 July 2007 our stables purchased two three-year-old geldings at an auction held by the Tattersalls company in Newmarket, England:

  • Color Man (GB), bay, born 24/3/2004: Rainbow Quest (USA) - Subya (GB) (Night Shift (USA)),
  • Jaady (USA), bay, born 1/5/2004: Coronado's Hero (USA) - Aljawza (USA) (Riverman (USA)).

Both horses are now preparing for further starts at Světlá Hora.
