This bony bay horse hasn't started for 2 years - he started only at the age of three and after a single flat start he changed for hurdles, where he won three times out of seven starts.

His career rised breathtakingly in the following season of 2004 at the age of four. After an unimpressive start of the season in Bratislava, where he fell behind his lead position at the last hurdle, he won six times out of seven starts and once he placed second. He won among others the Premio Staffe D´Oro (Gr.3) in Milan, Červnová cena in Pardubice, Premio Val Venosta in Merano, placed second in Corsa Siepi dei 4 anni (Gr.3) and finished the season with a victory in Křišťálový pohár in Pardubice and Cena České televize in Prague. He was declared the Best hurdler in a 2004 poll.

In 2005, Kolorado followed his stable colleague's example Masini (POL). He placed secong right behind him in the first start of the season, but then each went their own way and Kolorado overran Masini (POL). Just like him he won the two biggest races of the Italian season: at first, the Gran Steeple Chase di Milano (Gr.1) in May, and then Gran Premio Merano (Gr.1) in September. Unfortunately, he's been disqualified later because the rider made a mistake in setting the course. Besides this, Kolorado won the Zlatý pohár (L) in Pardubice, Velká starohájská in Bratislava and Premio Lainate (L) in Milano. He hasn't succeeded in only one of seven starts, when in Premio Belfe he threw down his rider into the bushes. He placed on top of the chart along with Registana (GER) in the Czech republic's hurdle handicap.

He started the 2006 season in Milano, where after accidental fall was again mount and he finished Gran Steeple Cahse di Milano (Gr.1) in 2nd place. It was his one loss at this year. After this he won all four starts at abroad and the top of the season was triumph at Gran Premio Merano (Gr. 1) with Dirk Fuhrmann.

Kolorado began his 2007 season with a win in Bratislava and then travelled to Paris for the Gras Savoye Grand Steeple-chase de Paris (Gr. 1). But he could not manage the deep track and was pulled up. He then won the Steeple-chase di Primavera (Gr. 3) in Merano and the Grand Starohájska Trophy in Bratislava. This race was a warm-up for the Gran Premio Merano (Gr.1). However, carrying the heaviest handicap, he suffered a serious injury that ended his fantastic career.
