Baggio (POL) turned his last start of the year into a victory, finishing 3 lengths ahead in the Premio Lainate 4 000 m Listed steeplechase in Milan.

16.10.2007 The victorious premiere of Moning Let

Despite the fact that an injury took Hastaven (FR) out the Grand Pardubice, the main race last weekend in Pardubice, we brought home two victories from Pardubice in general races. Newcomer Moning Let (SLO) with Dušan Andrés aboard easily won the “Labe Trophy” in the 5 200 m cross-country steeplechase. The second victory was recorded by Baggio (POL) in the Vltava Trophy in the 4 500 m cross-country steeplechase. On the other hand, neither Tajnaron (POL) nor Pate (GER) finished in the money in their races. Only two of our horses started in Saturday’s flat races after favourite Batalistyka (POL) was scratched. Savignon (POL) finished fifth in the Domec St. Leger, a Grade NL flat race over 2 900 m; two-year-old Klaus (POL) finished fourth in the “INGBAU CZ Trophy - the Pardubice Winter Favourite,” a Grade 1 flat race over 1 750 m.

10.10.2007 Kolorado in the hospital

A week after his return from Merano, Italy, Kolorado (POL) was taken to the Brno Veterinary Clinic for treatment under the care of Dr. Mezerová. He currently has his injured leg in a cast and is doing well. He will return to home treatment next week.

2.10.2007 Dark week

This time it was our racing stables that experienced a dark week. After being examined at the Brno clinic it was learned that Hastaven (FR) has a problem with a rear leg; this injury will definitely keep the horse out of this year’s Grand Pardubice. Two-year-old Skinfaxi (GER*) died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday. And on Sunday seven-year-old Kolorado (POL) suffered an injury in Merano after trying to avoid a fallen horse during a race. He finished the race with an injured fetter bone and on the basis of the first examination it appears as if his racing career is in jeopardy. Kolorado (POL) is already back at the stables with his leg in a cast, though not showing any signs of fatigue from the race or transport.

25.9.2007 Batalistyka is the winter queen

Three horses in our yellow and blue colours ran last weekend at the Bratislava racetrack. In the main race of the day, the Saint Leger, a Listed flat race over 2 800 m for three-year-olds, Savignon (POL) was unable to repeat his performance at the Prague St. Leger and finished third, one and three-quarters lengths behind the winning horse. The other Czech representative, Shaman (CZE), an offspring of our studhorse Magnus (POL), finished sixth. Batalistyka (POL) (Jape) won by one and a quarter lengths in one of the top races for two-year-olds – the Winter Queen Trophy, a Grade 1 flat race over 1 600 m. Tajnaron (POL) finished fifth in the Corsa Trophy hurdle race.
