The slight brown horse is son of Irish Two-Twenty-Two and English mother Saya. He was born at Poland’s Strzegomi. As a two-year old he debuted in Italy. After return to Warszawa he conquered a triumph at Nagrod Mokowska (LR). For Wrbna Racing was bought in autumn 2006.

Despite suffering serious health problems at the beginning of 2007 related to a spinal birth defect, Savignon’s debut at the Dr. Frankenberger Memorial (NL) was victorious, and he was declared a favourite for the derby. However, his run in the Czech Derby (G3) was unsuccessful due to bone problems. But he confirmed his high class with a victory in the classic Prague St. Leger (L) and third place finish in the Slovak equivalent. By season’s end his form was gone and he finished fifth at the St. Leger (NL) in Pardubice.
