The small beefy horse is a first offspring of Slovak classic winner Tatra (POL) and great father Be My Chief (USA). This fact predestines him to an interesting turf career.
Tantor appeared only four times on the racetrack as a two-year-old. However, a tendency towards injury that could be inherited from his father was not apparent. He finished in the money three times, with his best showing a fourth place finish in the Gersch Memorial (NL).
