21.5.2007 Masini again victorious

After three year Masini (POL) repeated victory in the Grande steeple chase di Milano, a Grade 1 race over 5 000 m. With Paddy Aspell aboard, Masini (POL) rode to a four and a half length victory over another Czech horse, Iraklion. The excellent form of our horses was confirmed by the second place finish by Diktys (CZE) in the Premio Staffe d'Oro, a Grade 3 steeplechase over 3 600 m. Pate (GER) came into the Grand Spring Trophy in Prague as one of the favourites but after a poor start finished fifth. Shaman (CZE), an offspring of our studhorse Magnus (POL), finished third.

12.4.2007 Kolorado finishes ahead of Masini

We began the racing season in traditional fashion in Bratislava. Both of our current stars started the Petržalka Spring Trophy - Kolorado (POL) with Paddy Aspell aboard and Masini (POL) with Jan Faltejsk in the saddle – and as expected finished in the top two positions. Despite the fact that Masini (POL) led the entire race, Kolorado (POL) finished on top. Our pair of horses in the Jindřich Němčanský Memorial, a hurdle race over 3 000 m, did not fare as well. Babie Lato (POL) finished third in his hurdle debut and newcomer Earlynight (IRE) faulted on the last jump and did not finish.

3.4.2007 First start

We will begin the racing season in Bratislava, where Kolorado (POL) and Masini (POL) will start in the Petržalka Spring Trophy. Last year’s Slovak St. Leger winner Babie Lato (POL) will debut in the hurdles along with five-year-old Earlynight (IRE), who was purchased last year in Germany. Jan Faltejsek and Paddy Aspell will ride our horses.

20.3.2007 Kolorado named Horse of the Year

Our Kolorado (POL) was named 2006 Horse of the Year in the survey by the Czech Jockey Club. De Roberto and Scyris finished second and third, respectively. Kolorado (POL) also defended last year’s victory in the steeplechase category and stable mate Diktys (CZE) was named the top hurdler.

5.1.2007 Partner for Registana

The first breeding partner for two-time Grand Pardubice winner Registana (GER) will be the studhorse Oscar (IRE), a bay horse born in 1994, son of Sadler´s Wells and Snow Day, and grandson of Reliance II. As a two-year-old Oscar finished second in the Prix du Jockey Club (Gr. 1) and the Prix Hocquart (Gr. 2). His results in breeding steeplechase horses are more interesting; he is the sire of steeplechase winners in England and Ireland. His best offspring is Black Jack Ketchum, winner of the Grade 1 hurdle race in Aintree. Registana (GER) will travel to Ireland to breed with the stallion.
