This stately bay gelding and a famous fencer was imported from France as a four-year-old experienced steepler.

He appeared in Wrbna Stable colors for the first time in 2001 and with one exception he always started abroad. After two unsuccessful starts, he gradually improved and finally found a great form. He placed three times in Merano behind Registana (GER), won twice in Bratislava when he got recorded in the list of winners of Velká cena Bratislavy and Velká jesenná cena. He was declared the Best fencer in Slovakia.

In the following year 2002 after a second place in Prvomájová steeplechase in Lysá n.Labem he won start-finish Velká slušovická. In the autumn he passed a difficult program, at first he came second in Premio Val Pusteria in Merano, then he placed eighth (still endowed) in Gran Premio di Merano Forst (Gr.1), two weeks later he was second again in Cena Labe (L) in Pardubice and at the end of the season, as a first horse of Wrbna stable, he appeared on a racing-course in England where, in Cheltenham in Sporting Index Chase, he placed sixth, also endowed.

He started the season of 2003 as a seven-year-old in Gran Steeplechase di Milano (Gr.1), where he had to be stopped due to a rider's mistake. Two weeks later he qualified for Velká pardubická. Two victorious starts in Pardubice and Světlá Hora and second place behind Almanzor in Premio Rotary Club in Merano followed. However, he suffered an injury in the last start that required absence for more than a year.

In 2005 he started three times. At first he won the Premio Val d´Isarco in Merano, then the Velká cena Pardubického kraje qualification in August and in October he started in Velká pardubická. In this race he played an unfortunate role of a peacemaker and therefore participated in the race's record time. However, he succumbed to his pace near the finish and came sixth.

Red Dancer began the 2006 season as a ten-year-old in fine form. At the beginning of May he won a Grade 1 race in Pardubice and then finished second in qualifications for the Pardubice Grand Prix (NL). In an attempt to avoid the hard Czech tracks he travelled to Merano, Italy in July and made his first start in a specific cross-country – the Premio Oreste de Strobek. He was running beautifully and closing in on the leader in the home stretch when out of the blue a rider-less horse came hurtling at Red Dancer. In the subsequent violent collision he lost not only his rider and any hope for victory, but also damaged his shoulder blade nerve. The resulting shoulder muscle atrophy did not improve even after long convalescence and the fantastic gelding was retired from racing.
