You can find there plenty of tourist paths, bicycle and cross-country ski trails; for skiing favourers there are slopes on Praděd available.

History of the village

Světlá originated in 1267 when a German nobleman Henry of Waldov established a new settlement in the woods area and called it "Lichtewerde". Světlá Hora village rised in 1960 thanks to an integration of two historical ranges - mine city Andělská Hora (est. 1540) and a village Světlá ("Lichtvard" until 1946). After a follow-up segregation of Andělská Hora, then Světlá community kept the name "Světlá Hora" due to it's integration with communities Dětřichovice, Suchá Rudná, Stará Voda and Podlesí.
