This stately bony chestnut horse is a son of a great producer of hurdle horses Jape. His mother Nowa Aragonia has never raced but is a sister of Polish black-type winners Nowogródek and Nowy Corleone.
As a two-year-old, he has started only once but managed to win. However it started to deepen his problems with breath which him still limited in training.
In the year 2006 as a three-year old started only twice. On his first start he unexpectedly breaks through box and he was disqualified. Second start at II. category was beyond his strength. In autumn he submitted operation and that his problems a little bit lowered.
Due to his dislike for staring gates Number One was prepared for steeplechases in 2007, despite breathing problems. However, his first start proved that he might enjoy a better career in the equestrian sports and he was sold.
