Trainer MVDr. Čestmír Olehla

His first encounter with racing and sports horses came about in 1970. He started his career at Riding Club in Beňov with trainer Jaromír Dostál and later he rode horses at TJ Haná Přerov under the guidance of trainer Jaroslav Bayer. He studied at the Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene in Brno, where he became a member of a research team of Prof. MVDr. Jaroslav Hanák, DrSc. During the last 2 years of his studies he specialized in Clinical Physiology of Sports and Racing Horses, he got a business scholarship from the Breeding Company Tlumačov and also his first two racing horses for training. He achieved his first training victory in 1982 in Velká Chuchle with his mare Džunka.

In April 1983, he started working for Breeding Company OZ Albertovec as a trainer of racing horses and a veterinarian. In the years 1985-1986 he passed a Specialising Course for Trainers of Racing Horses in Boskovice, and in 1986 he also passed a few-months-long trainee-ship at a race-course in Warsaw by then top trainers Mgr. Miroslaw Stawsky and Andrzej Walicky, and in a local veterinary infirmary by Dr. Adam Wasowsky.

In 1987 he changed for Světlá hora, where legendary Železník crossed his destiny. In the same year, Železník achieved his first victory at Velká pardubická, with Josef Váňa in saddle, which he repeated three more times in following years. Olehla became a Czechoslovak Trainer Champion in steeplechase in the years 1988, 1991-1994, in wicker hurdles in the year 1996. Since 1991, he owns a trainer's license type A.

Except for Železník, he was in charge of horses like Chrám (undefeated jumps winner in 1991), Genora (winner of jumps Triple Crown in Slovakia in 1992) and other multiple hurdle and plain field races winners such as Belovodsk, Bungee, Buggy, Cutter, Čest, Gabriel, Gemer, Import, Lateran (CZE), Lydka, Magnus (POL), Mallente, Manuskrypt (POL), Maravilla, Merlin, Milliard, O´Hara, Rampa, Sesi (CZE), Tenerife, Thoro, Torpille, Valentin, Victis (POL).

Since 1999 he fully addresses himself to the horses that are possessed by Wrbna Racing stable. At first it was at a temporary place of work in Dolní Moravice, since the end of the year 2002 back again in Světlá Hora.

Until the end of the year 2004, horses entrusted to Mr. Olehla's training achieved altogether 362 victories in flat and jumps races, of which 115 abroad.
